About me

In my opinion, touch is much more than a basic necessity and the Tantric vision and approach are fully in line with this.
Huidhonger can be a first step, to a great adventure that the Tantric experience brings with it. The term Huidhonger (Skin hunger) became known in The Netherlands mainly after the outbreak of the corona pandemic in the spring of 2020. It is a name for the lack of loving touch and the desire for skin contact.
According to Wikipedia, the skin is the largest organ and gives people an identity and a sense of self.
Experiments have led science to conclude that touch is a basic necessity, even more important than food and essential for optimal development.

Huidhonger – Wikipedia
Tantra is a name from Sanskrit and is a way of life aimed at (physical and mental) expansion and liberation.
Tan = expanding / expansion, Tra = instrument / liberation.
Tantra is not a religion, but a vision in which the emphasis is on the development of human power by optimizing the entire physical (and thus mental) potential.

I offer tantra inspired massages and follow the ethical code of conduct that TantraWijzer endorses. I find it very important that the person who books a massage with me is also aware of this code of conduct and agrees with it. That is why I have also added it at the bottom of “Session”.

My choice for the name Huidhonger is partly related to the vision I have on the -especially- physical effect that a Tantric-inspired massage can have.
On the other hand, I want to reach an audience -in an accessible way- that is not so much waiting for a “spiritual” experience, but does have the need to “experience or learn something new”.

I myself, regarding the effect of the massage, can identify with a statement by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, who indicates that signs of progress in a spiritual life are characterized by:

After my botanical laboratory training, I worked for 15 years in a laboratory at a vegetable seed company and this mainly includes the “exact subjects”. Mathematics, physics, chemistry, all subjects where a scientific approach predominates. Research into DNA, … nothing spiritual, you would think (1*). I have currently been working in healthcare for 4 years. Healthcare, full of biology, physiology, psychology, psychiatry, anatomy, pathology, … pharmacy, …

What turns out? The interfaces between (self)care and science are enormous.

Neuroplasticity is described in the book “Your brain on Porn” by Gary Wilson.
Physiologist Gary Wilson studied the neurochemistry of addiction. In 2015, he was awarded by the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health for his research into porn addiction (2*).

Neuroplasticity means that our autonomic nervous system is constantly subject to change. What Gary Wilson also describes is that we are able to control the changes to our autonomic nervous system.
In the book, he describes the principle of “use it, or lose it” (the growth and pruning of nerve connections).
In short, this means that a system of nerve connections usually arises and grows under the influence of stimuli (communication between nerve cells), and when these stimuli are absent or disappear, the system around them will also disappear (or die out / decrease).

In the case of addiction, this means that this process (the system of nerve connections around the process of addiction) is reversible. This is a nice fact.

Ivan Pavlov’s experiment, also known as “Pavlov’s Dog” and the most famous example of classical conditioning (influencing the autonomic nervous system) can also be undone by this “neuroplasticity”.

Now that link to the Tantric massages,…

Neuroplasticity also indicates that people can become truly numb, in the absence of touch. People who fade away,…
How many (neurochemical) processes are neglected in our body, because the body does not receive the right attention and stimulation, that it deserves?

8 years ago I had a great need to come into more physical contact with myself. My life was mainly played out in my head and I felt very little. I had difficulty interpreting my emotions. Because of this I also had difficulty coming into (real) contact with others around me.

This need brought me to Jessica and through her I first came into contact with Tantric work. I still follow workshops and “masterclasses” with her and undergo individual sessions. Her review is also included in the “reviews”.
She has a very nice site about her work as a Tantrica within her versatile Tantra Practice, to which I would like to refer.

I am currently reading the book “The Cosmic Serpent” -DNA and the origins of knowledge-, in which anthropologist and writer Jeremy Narby indicates that indigenous and ancient peoples, such as the Aboriginals and the Egyptians, have long known about the double helix structure, which was only “discovered” by the West in 1953.

Narby discovers that Peruvian Amazon shamans, with whom he is conducting research, can evoke images of plants in their visions with which they are able to prepare medicines that even puzzle modern molecular biology. In these images, snakes usually appear, and often double ones. He discovers that many more shamanic cultures worship the snake, even in areas where the snake does not occur. When the blind spot of Western science becomes clear to him and the impossibility of objectifying our own view, he begins to suspect a connection between these double, entangled snakes and DNA, the twisted double helix.

He takes the reader on fascinating journeys through his own experiences in Peru as well as through various areas of science. In this fascinating study of anthropology and ethnic medicine, he develops a completely new, surprising view of DNA-based life that encompasses the entire biosphere of the earth.

Dr. Jeremy Narby, a Canadian-Swiss anthropologist, studied history in England. He spent two years with the Indians in the Peruvian Amazon. He obtained his doctorate in anthropology from Stanford University in the U.S.

Without mincing his words, Gary Wilson explains how online porn addiction works, what the consequences are, what you can do to get rid of it and, above all, how much it yields. The unlimited amount of internet porn is not without consequences: the number of (young) men with erectile dysfunction is increasing enormously, according to research. Internet pornography seems to have a similar impact on our brains as drug use: our brains demand more and more intense material, which means that physical contact with a partner no longer produces the same level of excitement, or sometimes even fails altogether.

Wilson wrote the book for anyone who wants to know more about the addictive effect of Internet pornography, such as parents, doctors, care providers and teachers. The book is an eye-opener for the daily porn viewer who notices that his analogue sex life is suffering and for those who are concerned about their own porn consumption. Wilson uses neuroscientific research to describe the effects of daily porn use on the brain and what you can do to get rid of it. He shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even for the most hardened porn viewer.

“In 2006, the first porn websites came online, and more than ten years later, the supply has exploded. At the same time, the number of – mainly young – men with erectile dysfunction has increased exponentially. Physiologist Gary Wilson, specialized in the neurochemistry of addictions, explains the connection painfully clearly in his book ‘The Porn Brain’.” – HUMO

“Wilson shows how frequently watching internet porn changes the brain.” –Psychologie Magazine.
